It
didn't matter that we had cold weather for this shoot, or that it started raining on us, it
was so much fun!! Last week I was asked by Designer Rachel McCullough to get glammed up
for a styled shoot she had dreamed up and organized for a project. She chose beautiful Fall
colors, some killer wedding dresses, and a gorgeous Bay Area location for the
shoot. I can’t wait to see the final spread she puts together; here are just some
of the details:

For
my hair ~ Taylor braided my hair into a combination of pancake and fishtail
braids and incorported colored extensions into a side bun. She then wove
feathers into the bun to create this style. Completely Unique! I didn't want to take it out after
we were done shooting :)
For
my makeup ~ Erin chose an exxagerated berry lip and gold eyeshadow to make a
dramatic statement for my makeup. I loved the lashes she put on me, I am not
usually one to like fake lashes but this pair was very comfortable!
For
the strapless Lian Carlo dress I wore Erin also painted gold foil onto one of
my collar bones to add a unique accent to my look. For a few of the shots I
blew some loose gold foil around and Melanie was able to capture it on camera!
The
open space at Pleasantan Ridge offered such a beautiful landscape for the
shoot. Even in the rain the place is breathtaking. There are great hiking
trails over there for anyone living in the East Bay who has never been!
I
think the photos Melanie took under this large Oak are my personal favorites.
Melanie was so wonderful to work with. She is kind, professional, and very
detail oriented. In between shots Melanie took off her vest and gave
it to me just to make sure I stayed warm. I can’t wait to work with her again
in the future!
The
beautiful waterfall bouquet that Rachel envisioned was created by my the
talented East Bay Flower Company. I
wanted to take it home with me :)
The
dresses that Kinsley James loaned to Rachel for the shoot were breath taking. The
Rivini (strapped gown) was so comfortable but still dramatic. The strapless
Liancarlo number was so light and romantic. I loved both of them!!
