Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie

Happy Tuesday beauties! I hope that everyone’s week flies by so that the weekend is quickly on the horizon. With Thanksgiving coming up next week I am in full on “Fall mode”, and cooking with as many Fall ingredients as I can! :)

…So naturally this Pumpkin Pie smoothie fits the bill to Fall perfection. It tastes like Fall goodness in a cup, and bonus plus, it is healthy and easy to make.

This recipe is especially great because it has the taste of pumpkin pie (with 12g protein per serving) but without all the calories, refined sugar, and fat that a slice of pie has.

Enjoy the pumpkin, maple, spice, and cinnamon flavors –and feel great about the protein you are getting as well <3

 What you will need:

1 frozen banana
1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup soymilk, almond milk or coconut milk
2 Tablespoons pure honey or maple syrup
2/3 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
1 cup ice

To get from A to B:

Drop all of the ingredients into a blender or Vitamix in the order they are listed. Blend until smooth - this may take longer if your blender isn't very strong.

Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed and carefully add more milk to thin out if needed.

Enjoy!

XO Sarah
